The 1st CO2 PACMAN Rooting Lab, held in Split and Brač from September 17-19, 2024, was a three-day workshop under the CO2 PACMAN project, funded by Interreg Euro-MED. It brought together 10 partners from across the Mediterranean to promote climate neutrality through research, knowledge exchange, and policy development. The event included project presentations, panel discussions on decarbonization challenges, and a co-design workshop with educators, students, and local businesses. The initiative fosters transnational cooperation, strengthens innovation in protected areas, and raises awareness of the transition to a low-carbon economy. The Rooting Lab in Brač successfully established stakeholder networks, setting the stage for future climate action.
