Our story
The CO2 Pacman project builds on the successful outcomes of previous initiatives like Interreg Med BLUE DEAL, COMPOSE Plus, and FP7 CityZen. During its Test Phase, the project worked in Brač, Crete and Elba Islands and it developed and test tools, methodologies and participatory approaches supporting climate-neutrality planning. Through its new Transfer Phase, CO2 PACMAN is now extending this experience to the City of Athens and the Regional Government of Tuscany, broadening the application of its results from island contexts to metropolitan and regional territories.

The CO2 PACMAN project supports Mediterranean territories in their transition towards climate neutrality by developing and applying advanced assessment tools and fostering collaboration among public authorities, citizens and stakeholders. Building on the experience gained in Brač, Crete and Elba, the project combines participatory processes, innovative technologies and integrated planning to co-create practical climate-neutrality strategies. Through its Transfer Phase, CO2 PACMAN is extending and adapting this approach to new metropolitan and regional contexts, strengthening the wider uptake of its results across the Mediterranean.
