Following the successful Island I Would Like Lab in Brač, the CO2 PACMAN project continues its island-driven climate action journey with a new three-day Lab on the island of Elba, from March 22 to 24, 2026.

The Lab in Brač brought together local authorities, researchers, businesses, and citizens to co-create concrete pathways toward climate neutrality. Through participatory workshops and onsite exploration, stakeholders identified priority actions across key sectors such as energy, mobility, tourism, food systems, and ecosystem-based solutions, directly informing the island’s greenhouse gas balance and decarbonisation roadmap.

Building on these outcomes, the upcoming Island I Would Like Lab in Elba will further strengthen collaboration between project partners and local stakeholders, with a focus on translating research insights and co-created ideas into practical, locally grounded actions. The workshop will address critical sectors for Elba’s sustainable transition, including renewable energy and storage, sustainable mobility, waste and water management, food systems, low-carbon activities, ecosystem-based approaches.

At the core of CO2 PACMAN is community engagement. Through interactive sessions and co-creation workshops, participants will work together to design tangible strategies that reduce emissions while enhancing the resilience and sustainability of Elba’s economy and environment.
