Following the first Rooting Lab held in February 2025, which launched a shared path toward climate neutrality on the Island of Elba, the CO2 PACMAN – PARTNERSHIP OF COOPERATION AND CO-PLANNING FOR CLIMATE NEUTRALITY project, funded by the Interreg Euro-MED Program, returns to the island with a new event dedicated to discussion and co-planning. In preparation for the next workshop, “The Island I Would Like” (March 2026), the CO2 PACMAN Tool will be presented, an innovative tool that allows for the preventive estimation of the decarbonization effects of 28 local policies, developed specifically for the Elba context. The meeting is aimed at mayors and technicians from local public administrations, who will have the opportunity to directly experience the tool’s functioning , exploring its potential to support territorial planning and the implementation of strategies consistent with the main international decarbonization plans, such as the SECAP.
The results of the study of the landscape of Elba Island, conducted by the Department of Architecture of the University of Florence, will also be presented during the day.
