On 16 February, the CO₂ PACMAN project will take part in the national initiative “M’illumino di Scienza – I light up with Science”, the Italian National Day dedicated to energy saving and sustainable lifestyles.The University of Siena (UNISI) will host a dedicated event focusing on the CO₂ PACMAN project and the CO₂ PACMAN Tool. During the event, the tool will be used live to simulate decarbonization scenarios, and the project will also be featured live on national radio, increasing its national visibility.
The CO₂ PACMAN Tool is a digital decision-making support platform that helps make the impacts of different decarbonization policies clear, comparable, and accessible. It allows local administrations, technical experts, and citizens to explore emission-reduction pathways through interactive visualizations. By integrating emissions data with local renewable energy potential, the tool supports participatory decision-makingand the definition of realistic pathways toward climate neutrality.
